Asbestos Mesothelioma News: Chicago Sheraton Asbestos Free
Today i read an interesting article concerning the presence of asbestos at the former Sheraton Hotel in Chicago. The former Sheraton high rise building is being converted to a senior citizens home, but during this process inspectors found traces of asbestos in the building 18 years ago. There was an 11 month process of removing all asbestos material from the building. According to the Indiana Department of Environmental Management the structure is now free of asbestos which is the primary cause of lung mesothelioma. The clean up crew involved in this project was East Chicago based company J&K Environmental Inc.
Through reading this article I found some insight into how may more possible buildings and homes may have asbestos exposure, and how many individuals might be susceptible to asbestos lung mesothelioma and asbestosis.
